LIDC has a history of creating, adding, deleting, changing programs to fill needs; fill gaps; remain relevant; serve the needs of our community by helping small businesses & others to promote economic/community development with impactive programs and services. LIDC provides the following direct services and programs:

Long Island Targeted Loan Fund/LISBAC Loans - Long Island Targeted Loan Fund/LISBAC Loans- President Obama, Governor Paterson, everyone is talking about revolving loan funds, access to capital for small businesses. These loan funds meet this need for capital in this economy. They have flexible lending criteria, and focus on small businesses, the backbone of our community.

GAPSCAP - GAPSCAP focuses on instructional seminars for entrepreneurs and others on a variety of business related topics. Seminars include how to expand with government contracts, access to capital, how to choose an accountant, viral marketing etc. Many of GAPSCAP’s seminars are conducted in partnership with BWE, a statewide entrepreneurial assistance organization.

Pro Bono project assistance and referrals. LIDC and its staff bring 35 years of expertise and experience to the table for the benefit of entrepreneurs, nonprofits, government agencies and others. LIDC staff are prepared to assist our Long Island economy to remain strong with assistance in project finance structuring, referrals to other resources,  and a variety of other areas.
