Long Island Development Corporation works with and for the Long Island business and
not-for-profit community

LIDC works with the rest of the economic development community on LI cooperatively to deliver coordinated economic development resources to businesses and not-for profit entities. LIDC sponsors and actively works with groups like the Long Island Partnership - a consortium of Long Island's government and private sector business resources and the Long Island Business Development Council - the island's oldest networking group of government, quasi government and private sector leaders looking to promote LI for the business community. In addition, LIDC co-sponsors the annual Commerce Bank Championship, a Sr. PGA Golf Tournament, in order to help promote Long Island to a national audience as a tourism destination and great place to do business.
LIDC is proud to host the Bethpage NY branch office of SCORE (Service Corps. of Retired Executives), a national organization of 11,000 volunteer executives. SCORE provides free counseling and mentoring to entrepreneurs. LIDC President Roz Goldmacher serves on the National Board of Directors of SCORE and Chairs its LI Advisory Board.
