Technical Assistance

LIDC provides technical assistance to small businesses and not-for-profit entities, including access to resources such as utility abatements, alternative financing and seminars. The Government and Private Sector Contracting Assistance Program provides counseling on how to obtain and perform on government and private sector contracts. The program has brought over $1.7 BILLION of government contracts to small businesses over the years. Services range from bid matching to finding contracts, assistance in filling out RFP's and RFQ's, certification to minority or women owned businesses by NYS, NWBOC and others, to pre and post award surverys, payments and introduction to buyers.  Click here for a more comprehensive list of program services.

Capital One Bank has provided financial support to our to our government and private  sector contracting assistance program program for the second year in a row. In addition, LIDC is working with the Bank's Mentor-Protege Program, matching LIDC clients with Bank Representatives for one on one financial counseling.

Long Island Development Corporation (LIDC) held its 2nd annual golf outing on May 19th honoring John DeFranza, Sr. Vice President Product Delivery Manager at Bank of America. Held  at the beautiful Hamlet Golf and Country Club in Commack, some 100 golfers enjoyed perfect weather, a challenging course and a fun day.
